It was first developed in Germany in 2008 by the ETH Zurich University, and it has gained widespread popularity since then. It can also detect if the student is running the SEB in Virtual Machine. What is Safe Exam Browser Safe Exam Browser is an open-source web browser designed to provide a secure and controlled online exam environment for students. You can download the SEB for your device from the official website here. This is currently not available on Android. Safe Exam Browser enables secure exams on unmanaged computers like students’ own laptops and tablets as well as in managed environments on all three platforms Windows, macOS and iOS. Instructors can configure Safe Exam Browser to behave differently for each exam. Student use their own laptop (before exam, he should install SEB).
